 New pilot plant tests confirm effectiveness of sodium sorbents against HCl!
The proposed MACT standards for both utilities and industrial boilers focus on removal of HCl in the presence of SO2. While many sites use sodium sorbents to remove HCl, and many others remove SO2 or other acid gases, publicly available data on the removal of HCl in the presence of SO2 is scarce.
